When Christmas Season Came

Once upon a time,

In a land far away,

A group of children thrived,

Laughing in joyous play.

When the Christmas season arrived,

Carols filled the air,

Melodies of love and light,

Echoing everywhere.

But swiftly did the next year come,

And winter's chill crept near,

The children’s hearts grew heavy,

As laughter disappeared.

They gathered ‘round to sing their songs,

But a shadow took its place,

A demon roared with the harshest words,

For joy it sought to chase.

Insults flew like bitter winds,

And tears turned laughter's sheen,

The demon’s cackle filled the night,

A scene so dark, unseen.

No laughter rang through yuletide nights,

No warmth, no spark, no cheer,

What once was bright with merry lights,

Now cloaked in doubt and fear.

But hark! This time of giving holds,

No room for strife or spite,

Let’s banish anger's icy grip,

And reignite the light.

With bravery, we face the foe,

With heart and hope, we beam,

For Christmas is a melody,

A joyful, radiant dream.
